Statement

The Saint Robert
Bellarmine Parish Youth Ministry Team is
committed to the reality that young people are an important and
integral part
of our parish community. The Parish Youth Ministry (PYM) Program seeks
to foster maturing in
faith of
the youth of our parish and the surrounding community.

We affirm the gifts of our youth and we foster opportunities for young
people
to share their gifts with the larger community. The spiritual and
social needs
of the youth are to be met with the committed leadership, guidance and
support
of our parish adults. The adults and youth of our parish are therefore
provided
with the opportunity to grow together in Christian faith.

(Live Nativity
December 2007)
Through
a variety of programs, events and outreach which seek to serve the
spiritual,
social, and physical well being of our children, we seek to draw young
people
into responsible participation in the life, work and mission of the
parish
community.

(Hersheypark Trip October 2007)
We believe this ministry is to, with, by, and for young people and is a
blessing for the entire community.

A
Safe Environment Reminder From Fr. Paolino
Our
programs cannot function properly without the help of so many
volunteers/coaches/parents and our PYM team is so grateful to all of
these
people! I take this opportunity to remind everyone of the safe
environment policy of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and US Conference
of
Catholic Bishops. All volunteers who have regular & exclusive
contact
with minors, must have the following submitted to the parish BEFORE
offering to volunteer or coach:
No
Exceptions
will be offered for incomplete
compliance! If you are planning to help with a program this
coming school
year (youth ministry, coaching a sport, etc.) you must have ALL
materials
submitted before the sports/activity begins. Failure of a
volunteer or
coach to fully comply will result in a particular activity/sport being postponed
or cancelled until the volunteer/coach is in FULL
compliance! Please refer to the Archdiocese of Philadelphia
website http://archphila.org/protection/index.htm
for more information on how to acquire the necessary paperwork or
